A Deliciously Delightful Food Voyage
Friends I don’t take these pictures. As
I am busy with the dishes, I had no time to take pictures. I take the pictures
from net. I am not a food reviewer .My sole intention is to share my experience with you in all respect.
I am a food fervent, so, often, I drop to small or big food
joints. My recent stopover in Kolkata’s renowned restaurant mesmerized me with
their food. I just love myself for the reason that I have gone there and allow
myself to pamper with those delicious dishes. One evening in winter, I went for
the Restaurant named Tung Fong in Park Street, Kolkata. Actually I am very fond
of Peter Cat a restaurant in Park Street, Kolkata. But this time I changed my
mind and thank god I did due respect to Peter Cat. Tung Fong, I visited 4 years
back. I remembered that time also I had a great launch. To get refresh that memory,
I visited Tung Fong again.
I reached there with the company of my beloved husband.
When we entered, and awestruck by the nostalgia of old Park Street- janitor,
Wooden sitting arrangements, large lights made of glasses, wall decors all tell
you about their proud presence for years. All atmosphere and infrastructure are
modern with their own ethnic style.
We select a table
and sat there and started sense this enthralling ambiance. After some minutes a
maître d'hôtel or server came and gave us the menu. Menu is like a platter
offering delicious dishes. We selected some but after discussing with the server
we changed our selection and gone with his suggestion. After some time he
served starter. We had - smoked lamb and butter fried chicken and fresh lime
soda. I just can’t have the capacity to explain
how tender and soft the lamb was. You put it in your mouth and it will just melt
in. Chicken was so juicy and perfectly cooked. Taste of the two dishes just
splendid. We just got spellbound with the taste.
Now the time for main course and it came with full grace. We ordered
Chicken Chili Garlic Fried Rice, Kung Pao Lamb (Lamb in Hoisin /Oyster Sauce),
Shanghai Fish. Lamb and chicken are flawlessly ripe with the spices. 3 dishes
are equally tender and perfectly cooked. We just floated with the color, smell, taste
and seasoning of the dishes. Now we reached our last section of this food voyage,
its desert. We had Black Forest Sundae. It’s filled with vanilla ice cream,
chocolate cream, crushed chocolate, fruits, wafers and so on. It’s taste just
heavenly. I didn't have that type of dessert ever.
We complete our food journey with beautiful taste, mind
full of pleasure. This created an aura around us which brought smile on our
face that lasts till next day morning.
If you are in Kolkata please visit Tung Fong and get
delighted.
