Good Friends, Good Food, Good Times

The most overlooked fact about Valentine’s Day is that it’s not just about romantic relationships. Why shouldn’t we celebrate love in all forms and shapes? You are my dear friend and I love you dearly with all my heart. I wish you a wonderful Valentine’s Day celebration and you get cherished moments of love.

In this article I am sharing some feeling & unforgettable journey of mine of 14 February 2019 with my dear friend. I cherish the time that we spend together and know that you are a great Valentine.

Day began as typical weekday. I had my office and occupied with my predefined schedules.  I reached office and saw a red rose and beautiful pink color cup on my desk. I was amazed. Those were the gifts I received from my dear friend in office. Once upon a time we were just colleagues. It is our journey that we travelled from there. So it should need celebration. In a tight office schedule which is impossible. But the word ‘impossible’ also said I M POSSIBLE. So we decided made our celebration with our laugh and chat and food.  Though we brought launch from our home, we decided to had a tasty tangy lunch and celebrate our friendship on the valentine day.

We reached 6, Ballygunge Place a Restaurant which famous for finger licking authentic Bengali cuisines ( 6, Ballygunge Place, Sector 1, Salt Lake, Kolkata, West Bengal, India). This place is no doubt one of the best eateries in Kolkata. We two were the odd man out in the crowd of couple.

6, Ballygunge Place made special arrangement to celebrate valentine day .We found that they offered distinctive Couple Thali named as ‘Eat your Heart out’-Valentine Day Special Thali. This food journey began with delightful
exotic strawberry mock tail. That was so refreshing and and lovely.    After that journey named ‘Eat your Heart out’ took the ace. There was numerous numbers of tasty dishes.  Radhaballavi (Radhaballabhi is a Bengali style of stuffed fried puri with a filling of split white lentils/ urad dal), Aloor Dom (Potato Curry), Kesori Pulao, Steamed Rice, Moong Daal (Lentils, yellow petite – (Split Mung Beans) ), Echorer Paturi ( Baked Green jackfruit , Chanar Kaliya (Cottage Cheese Ball Curry ),
Pomphet Macher Horogouri ( Pomphet Fish cooked in two style in either side, Grilled Chicken with Mushroom Sauce, Kancha Lanka Dhonepatta Mangso/ Mutton( Mutton prepared with green chili and coriander paste) , Narkel Posto Bora ( Roasted ball made from Poppy Coconut paste) , Pineapple Chutney, Papad, Bong Style Valentine Truffle, Misti Doi (Sweet Curd).

All the dishes were so tasty and delicious. We two started our chit-chat with food. Once a time came we both were silent and try to finish our plates. We tried our best to finish the plate but no way because we really “Ate our heart out’. Lovely ambiance, delicious food and celebration of friendship mesmerized our heart. Every time we visited this place, we became fully happy with their food, their service and especially with the friendly/ homely behavior of the staffs. The ambiance of the place is quite unique with no frankly unnecessary decorations. The staffs are very helpful and mannerly in presence.

Life is a combination of uniqueness, friendship, food and magic. We enjoyed the magic fully on that day. The memory of 14th February 2019, I always treasure and relish the journey with my sweet friend.
