Crispy Masala Puri with Methi Aloo Sabji

 

Crispy Indian flatbread with spices and herbs


Puris or Luchis are most commonly served as breakfast and snacks. It is also served at special or ceremonial functions especially in Bengali community. There is a marginal difference between luchi and Puri but both are immensely popular though. Masala Puri, also poori, is a type of deep-fried bread, made from unleavened whole-wheat flour, and spices and some herbs originated from the Indian subcontinent. 


Ingredients-:

1.      Flour- 1 kg

2.      Kasuri Methi-1/2 cup

3.      Chopped Corainder leaves-1 cup

4.      Salt-1 teaspoon

5.      Sugar -1 teaspoon

6.      Baking Powder- 1 teaspoon

7.      Oil- 2 cups for frying

8.      Oil- 1 teaspoon for the dough

9.      Corainder Powder- 1 teaspoon

10.   Ajwan- 1table spoon crashed

11.   Hing- 1 teaspoon.

Process-:

1.      Take a deep breath bowl, add the flour and sprinkle 1 table spoon oil. Mix thoroughly

2.      Then add all ingredients except oil for frying

3.      Mix well

4.      Add require amount water and make perfect dough.

5.      Cover and rest in room temperature for at least 1 hour.

6.      After that make a round shape small chapatti with rolling pin.

7.      Fry in deep  oil serve with curry and curd
